The ALUR law provides for the progressive registration of condominium unions (syndicats de copropriété) for existing condominiums etc, according to the number of individual lots contained within the overall property.
In the case of condominiums containing more than 200 lots, the registration had to take place by no later than 31/12/2016, for those between 50 and 200 lots it must take place before 31/12/2017, and for whose number of lots is less than 50, the registration must take place no later than 31/12/2018.
The lots taken into account are the "primary" lots, i.e. only those used for housing, offices or businesses (excluding cellars, garages, ski lockers , etc.).
Notaries now have access to all the information contained in the national database in order to facilitate the provision of information for purchasers of condominium lots. In addition, any citizen may have access to the following information: name, address, date of creation of the union, number and nature of lots, and the name of the trustee.
