PROHIBITION OF OPEN FIREWOOD HEATING

As part of the Arve Valley Atmosphere Protection Plan (PPA) No. 2, accelerating the modernization of the fleet of wood-burning appliances is a major objective to reduce emissions of fine particles .

To support the renewal of polluting wood heating appliances, it is recalled that the € 2,000 bonus from the Air Bois Fund continues until the end of 2021. On December 3, Mr. Prefect of Haute-Savoie signed a decree prohibiting, from January 1, 2022, the use of open fireplaces in the PPA territory of the Arve valley. This ban will concern the use of open fireplaces for heating (main, auxiliary or pleasure) whatever the type of occupation (main or secondary residence, or other).
